Renia Butler lives in Houston, Texas by way of Little Rock, Arkansas and works as an Events Professional and Freelance food & events writer. She is also the current President of the Houston Food Blogger Collective. Her passion lies in connecting people with delicious food, products and events within the city and around the country.

Phaedra Cook

Editor & Publisher of Houston Food Finder

Phaedra Cook is the editor and publisher of Houston Food Finder. She's been covering Houston's food and beverage scene for almost a decade. After many years of contributing to My Table magazine, in 2014 she became the lead restaurant critic for the Houston Press - the first freelancer to ever have that role. She was hired as food editor before leaving to start Houston Food Finder, the first online-only publication covering the city's restaurant and bar scene.

Chef Michael Gabriel is a certified Chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute LeNotre where he received two Associate Degrees, one in Culinary Management and the other in Culinary Arts. He wants to introduce new culture and new food to the beautifully diverse community that we live in. He was also recently on Season 12 of Fox’s hit TV show Hell’s Kitchen, Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen Season 12, and  Champion of Camp Cutthroat Kitchen 2 also on Food Network.

Brasserie 1895 is a Chef Driven Concept led by Chef Kris Jakob, formerly of Kris Bistro ~ a Houston Chronicle Top 100 restaurant ~ located inside the Culinary Institute LeNotre where Kris was also the lead instructor and mentor for the last 9 years. Alongside his business partner Sky Lyn Gibbons, a Friendswood native, they plan to bring an urban craft style restaurant ~ with a touch of old world charm ~ to their beloved little town. The rest of the team is made up of passionate cooks and service professionals who have a love for the culinary arts and strive to deliver the most genuine hospitable dining experience.

As a south Louisiana transplant, Sherri is both a proud Cajun and Texan. She has a love for food and community first sparked by family as a child, and has a special passion for bringing people together with delicious food and wine. As the proud owner of LuLu & Ruby Concepts, a Houston based marketing, public relations and event consultation firm, Sherri brings over 15 years of diverse experience to help small businesses, restaurants, and culinary events connect with local patrons. Sherri proudly serves as the culinary director for Wine & Food Week and the Houston Chronicle Culinary Stars with Food & Vine Time Productions. She's a producer for Emmy award winning journalist, Tanji Patton at and prides herself as a brand ambassador for DR Delicacy, a houston based import/distribution company offering specialty food items from France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, and Australia.

Cleverley Stone is a broadcaster and philanthropist. She covers the food scene on radio and television and as the founder of Houston Restaurant Weeks, Cleverley has raised more than $10 million since 2003, creating 30 million meals to fight hunger in our city.  Her event is the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, largest food bank in the nation.

Cleverley has covered Houston’s food scene since 1997 and dominates the media. She is the only food journalist to air simultaneously on television and radio in Houston, the fourth largest city in America. A radio broadcaster since 2003, Cleverley can be heard each Saturday from 9 AM to Noon/central as the host of The Cleverley Show, a food talk program on Houston’s CBS SportsRadio 650 / KIKK-AM. Since 2008 she has been doing Cooking with Cleverley food segments on Houston’s FOX 26 Morning News. She is also very active in social media.
